... we had still a lot of time to spare in Sancti Spiritus, which was not a blessing ;-). We walked around pointlessly for a while and ate a pizza, which coincidentally happened to be the worst pizza on the entire trip. When it started to rain heavily our luck had completely run out.


Finally on our way to Santa Clara

Facing the enduring heavy rain, we had to organize a taxi to the bus station so not to get totally soaked walking ...

... to the rain from the previous few days. Downstream we saw a horse walking in shallow water & heading toward the deeper, stronger flowing water. We both wondered what the animal was doing as neither of us could ever remember seeing a horse swim on its own accord.
