I am so excited (and a bit nervous I must say) about leaving for Alaska in 2 days! It's actually less than that since my flight leaves at 5:30 am Wednesday. Yikes!

Today, I am catching up on laundry and packing what I can in the suitcase. We've purchased snacks for the plane- trail mix and chocolate, and bought a rain jacket for my 12 yr old traveling buddy. We've made arrangements for the girls to sleep over at Grandmother's on Tuesday ...

... Mother's Day...what do you want to do today? I said, let's get up, dress and head where the weather is Beautiful today...let's Chase the Sun...so I checked my laptop and decided on Chattanooga area..
I decided we should go to Red Clay State Historic Park..the meeting place of the 8 Cherokee Nations from 1832 to 1838, when they were forced onto the "Trail of Tears" and sent to Oklahoma..
