    Monday Arrived on train from antwerp in the afternoon. Wandered around, although raining and windy. Found lots of gf places to eat - pancakes, bagels, pasta, macdonalds even has gf hamburgers!!     Our 24hr stop in Amsterdam was great! The weather was amazing which is almost unheard of for this time of year! We are taking the ship of sunshine Motto around our whole trip!     ... Brown Café’s”. These are traditional Dutch pubs given the name brown café because of the wooden floors and walls that have been stained brown thanks to all of the nicotine from centuries of smoking (non-smoking now which was nice). Most of these cafes can claim to have been in business since the 1700’s and it was very neat to have a quick beer in Café Hoppe while we were walking around that night.

    ... It was very relaxed, and eating, drinking and smoking was allowed (encouraged even), so we sipped on beers, and others smoked joints as we sailed along the canals. Much better than the glassed in tourist boat cruises with audio commentary over a loud speaker.     ... was AWFUL. The place wasn't even busy and it took almost 30 minutes just to get our drinks. I can't complain too much because I did enjoy the free margarita and nachos. After dinner we headed to a place called Bulldogs's which is a "coffee shop" as they call it. It's not what we know as a coffee shop, rather it's a shop that sells marijuana and you can smoke inside.
