Well, to start it off.. The directions the hostel gave we're ****.. But luckily I found my way from the station. It was a quiet little hostel and I was put into a room with a little Chinese girl who could hardly speak English. I spent my first day wandering around, gazing at the amazing shop windows and, without a map, found myself in the middle of the city ...

... und es gab Buffet + Drink für 10€. Ruiniert haben wir den Laden nicht, aber schon ordentlich reingehauen. Ich war dann schließlich so früh schlafen, wie seit Monaten nicht mehr: 22Uhr ging das Licht aus.
Wir mussten ja aber auch fit sein für... Einen Spaziergang im Sonnenschein zum Hangar Bicocca. Sagt niemandem was? Bicocca ist das Viertel, in dem Pirelli jahrzehntelang hergestellt hat. Darum wundert es keinen, dass die dort jetzt eine Kunstausstellung ...
First Stop
... by artist Elena Ballarini caught our eye. These are so masterful that they look like photographs! The artist’s father is the owner of the gallery and he spent time with us talking about his daughter and her art. Quite fascinating—check it out: www.wildlifeart.it. He was even kind enough to suggest a place for dinner and called in a reservation for us. What a lovely gesture and so welcoming.

Another little break passed and I was feeling proud, so far I'd eaten everything on my plate. ...that's what Thanksgiving is about right? Stuffing yourself? Haha. Just kidding.
Eventually we were asked our choice of dessert: apple and cranberry pie with vanilla ice cream or devil's food cake with frosting and mixed berries. I had to go with the pie and vanilla ice cream... it's such a tradition! The pie was ...
Day 15: The Last Supper
... a time. We were inside for only fifteen minutes and then we had to exit the room. Leonardo da Vinci was just such great artist. You won't see this beauty elsewhere, but here in Milan. I recommend that everyone visits this place because it is worth watching.
