I checked out of the Istanbul hostel at 10.30am, and took a ferry to Kardicöy to catch the E10 bus to Sabiha Gokçen Airport. Accordıng to the the Turkeytravelplanner websıte I need to buy a tıcket before boardıng the bus. Apparently ıts not true anymore as you can pay the drıver on board (about 3.50 TL). …

... which is in the countryside perched on the cliffside and a hot steep walk up. Glad it was a bit overcast. Lots of colourful frescoes though lower ones have been scrawled on.

Driving in Trabzon appalling, like everyone is trying to kill you. Lots of boy racers in boxy 80s style cars with very low suspension - nice. Even minibus drivers are nutters with their shiny wheels and flared side skirts.
