One Life Live It

... be done. I'm not a praying man and accidents happen all the time all over the world but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the people will be ok.
The rest of the afternoon was spent surfing the net, eating lots of pizza, speaking to my mum, Hi Mum :) and shopping for supplies for tom as we're off to Australia Zoo with some friends we meet on Fraser Island so hopefully we'll have some happier stories and pictures from there.

Gaz & LJ

Chilling with Mike and Anna

... br>After lunch myself and Alan drove to the beach with our boogie board and a second one that we were able to borrow from Anna. Anna and the kids didn't come because the water at this time of year is too cold for them. It is their winter after all. It was just perfect for us at the beach. The sun was out but not too strong and the water wasn't cold. We spent quite a while in the water but I didn't quite get the hand of the boogie board. In fairness though the ...

From Noosa To Maloolaba

... I dont have plans to do any of that. I dump my stuff at the room and take ages picking a bed, all four to choose from. I settle on one and remove the pillow which looks like the cover has sick stains on and pick a more fluffy clean one. The room is very basic and the matress is the height of an a4 piece of paper. I head out to the dive shop down the road to check my stuff in and arrive only to find im at the wrong dive shop. They send me ...

Crocodile hunting

... were staying. The walk took along beaches and steep headland including a nudist beach which we had to skirt around keeping our heads bowed to the ground in case we saw something that would take away our innocence. We left Noosa the next day wanting to just stop and be on our own as we were tired of travelling and sick of backpackers. Because of this we decided to spend a whole week in Brisbane knowing there was perhaps not much to do there.

Day 15 - Friday

Australia Zoo Today was the visit to Australian Zoo...Don and Carla drove us to the Zoo and we explored the whole day there. We saw all the wonders there was to see.We enjoyed it immencely. Pictures can only capture a small bit of it. We started off going straight to the gift shop to get our bearings. Next we were off to see and pat a baby aligator. Then it was off to play with the ...

... company crams into each of their package to make them look fuller. We had heard plenty of complaints about long days canoeing and how exhausting the trip is - is this a good idea after the pretty hectic Fraser trip? Some people that were supposed to be in our group decided to take it easy instead and skip the canoe. We're not quitters and having learned from the experience in Abel Tasman NP in New Zealand (where we took only noodles and instant pasta and starved!) we thought some ...

2 Night Sailing at the Whitsundays!

... the turtles even! It was just beautiful. We snorkeled in that area for about an hour then sailed to another and saw more variations of the coral. After the snorkeling a few of us decided to do some dives off the boat. SO MUCH FUN! I learned how to do a back flip that I was really proud of. That night we slept under the stars again, only to set sail the next morning for some more snorkeling and then to Long Island to meet with the rest of the crew.

Noosa

... best mate wes) we still had a great day, mike was started on by a kangaroo, we held cuddly koala bears and saw a croc show. Later that afternoon mike and i managed to get onto a courtesy bus which would take us to noosa from the zoo, we said our goodbyes to the canadians and hoped on the bus. Arriving in Noosa reminded us of a more commercial version of Byron bay. We checked in at the Koala hostel which is by far the best hostel room we have had on our travels. We shared a room with ...

Fraser Island - Noosa - Brisbane - Toowoomba

... everyone took the opportunity to have their photo taken holding a koala. I’m pretty sure customs officials won’t allow anyone to leave Australia unless they can show photographic evidence of them holding a koala during their visit. And while I didn’t take the opportunity this time, even us locals have one or two somewhere in the depths of our photo albums.

If I could be any animal I think I’d like to be a ...
