1st rate experience!!
My husband and I stayed here the last weekend in February and were extremely pleased. The 1 bedroom villa was huge. It was immaculate and the kitchen was well stocked with usual equipment.. Staff was very accomodating. We would like to return when resort i s in full swing, i.e., warmer weather.
It is the best!!!
What can I say, this was one of the best places we have ever stayed. We drove from Minnesota and were able to make it a day earlier. Called on the way to see if we could check in a day earlier, not a problem. Everyone from the minute we checked in was so nice and very friendly. The unit was immaculate, we could not have asked for anything more. If we go back to Branson, this is the only place we would stay. I would highly recommend this facility, you will not be disappointed.
The VERY BEST place in Branson!
My husband and I came to Branson for the first time in late September 2004. We LOVED this place. This is by far one of the nicest places I've ever stayed in. And I am super picky about the hotels I stay in. The villas were absolutely immaculate -- I felt like I was the first one who ever stayed in this room. We mentioned this to the housekeeper and she said Marriott is VERY meticulous about the cleaning of these rooms. The decor and appliances were wonderful and up-to-date and very comfy plush beds. We stayed in a one-bedroom king-size bed condo and there was a pull-out sofa bed, which would've been handy if our two kids had come along. Everything you need is there as far as a kitchen goes. The pools were wonderful -- two hot tubs outside, a very large 0-depth entry pool and a separate baby pool. Pefect for families. Not to mention, they had all these same pools in an indoor facility too! The grounds were beautiful and kept up wonderfully! This is a time-share resort, but I booked this room via Travelocity's Web site and we were never approached about a time-share presentation. If we ever go back to Branson, this will be where we stay. Wish Marriott had more of these properties all over the country! The only downside is they are doing a lot of building around the resort. We were in Bldg. 1 facing the construction. It was never a problem on the weekend, but by Monday morning at 8 AM, we could hear construction noise and it woke us up. Ask to be in a room facing the pool or away from the ongoing construction. This place will just keep getting better over the next 5-10 years. Don't consider anywhere else when you go to Branson!
My wife and I only had the chance to spend one night in this resort, but that was enough to form a very positive opinion. This place was just fantastic, one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had, and we have stayed in hotels all over the world. It was extremely clean and well appointed. We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa that was more like a small apartment than a hotel room. Even though this is a timeshare resort, there was no one presuring us to take a tour or anything like that. The pool was beautifully done, the staff was very pleasant, a DVD player in the room.. you name it.
I have been home less that 2 days and we have already recommended this place to several people, and we are planning our next visit.
Awesome vacation with KIDS!!
We had an awesome stay and plan to call this the hotel we will always stay in. It was very clean and the kitchen and utensils, washer and dryer were right in our room and VERY clean! We also thought the staff went out of their way to help us in any way shape or form. Our kids 9, 4, 1 had a great time and thought this is FINE living! Awesome time can't say enough about it!
We've stayed at the Horizons many times since it first opened up; the most recent being in March 2004. The rooms are clean, well-furnished with everything you could need, and there are activities scheduled daily for everyone! We love staying here, and it's really nice off-season when the prices are lower. Best part is the location- Green Mountain Drive is convenient to the entire strip, yet it's so peaceful! This is my favorite place to stay in Branson.
The Marriott was awesome!!!
We just spent 4th of July week at the resort. It was
the best. We have a 4 and 5 year old and my
parents came with us. We own a Marriott vacation club but exchanged to go some place
different. The resort was booked but I was able to
get a one bedroom and an efficiency unit. I
requested a week prior to check-in, if the units could be near eachother. The front desk was very helpful and gave us two units next to eachother.
I suggest staying on the upper floor if possible.
We were on the 5th floor of the the building facing the new construcion. The construction didn't bother
us. We had a great view of fireworks from our
The unit was spotless clean and soooo family
friendly. The pool at the resort made the trip.
It's beautiful and perfect for smaller children too.
I only wish there was a snack bar type of restuarant
at the resort--pizza/sandwich type of place. There
is a Jubilee Supermarket down the road with a
Walmart next to it. Very convenient for food and
The Concierge desk was very helpful. We booked
most of our show tickets thru them. WE also had great seats for every show. Dixie Stampede a
must!! Book it on arrival for later in the week b/c it sells out.
Overall, nothing beats a Marriott vacation. We would
go back again, after all it was only an 18 hour drive for us!!!!!
Our stay was absolutely the very best! This was the nicest and cleanest place that we have ever stayed at !! The staff was very friendly and courteous. They were willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay wonderful. The pools were beautiful (water was a little too cold). The rooms however were exceptional! The location is great... you need to check out the crafts store up the road from it. Some really neat items in that store. We will definately stay here again!!!!!
Resort is wonderful. Condo was beautiful. Exellent location - very convenient to everything. Gave tour of Branson for small fee-very helpful. They also had a welcome dinner and performers from the town came and entertained. This gave you some ideas on what you wanted to see. Consierge extremely helpful and knowledge getting theater tickets. Excellent seats.
Be aware - there is a charge for maid service.
My husband and I had an occasion to stay here several years ago and we had a wonderful time. The room we stayed in was furnished beautifully and we were so comfortable.

... we've started the trip. It has been a planned meal all along and we have continued to say we needed to get some buns for them. Today, we finally decided to cook them here at the campground, so Steve went to the campground store and found a pack. We grilled the Bratwurst on Steve's new grill and ate in tonight. We started planning our day in Memphis and then watched movies on TV. Lights out at ...
... Style... 11:30pm (CT): Branson, Missouri. We leave the campground and head to Grandma Ruth's for a box of cinnamon rolls. Huge rolls had just come out of the oven and Grandma Ruth was sitting there putting icing on them. We talked with her a few minutes and took a picture. None of us were very hungry so we stopped in a sports bar for a quick, not very good, lunch. Then we headed downtown to pickup were we left ...

Today was a great motorcycle riding and scenery day. The first part of the trip was 160 miles of some of the greatest motorcycle riding so far. Scenic Route 7 is exactly what its name implies. Up and down the Ozark mountains, with twists and turns, a 7% downhill grade and hairpin turns as slow as 15 mph. Topped off with some breathtaking scenic overlooks, and we couldn't ask for a better day.
Near the end of Scenic Route 7 was a stop ...
