    We visited the cornpalace which unfortunately was being redone and continued through Sioux Falls and Sioux City to Nebraska where we found a nice little town called Decatur.     ... Platte River Archway. It is a museum and monument to Nebraska's and the Platte River valley's role in westward expansion. The Archway is directly over Interstate 80. .

    We passed a lot of small towns and each one had a museum of some sort usually about the western pioneers. It is helpful to have a smartphone because I was constantly looking up stuff we saw on the way and it made the ride more interesting.

    ... by, to the soundtrack of Bluebird's cheerful burbling exhaust note ahead, and the purring note of Blueberry's ( yes, that's the name we have settled on) v twin engine below us. For the final trek we donned wet weather gear - the clouds were darkening and looked heavy with rain, but there was very little drizzle to speak of, and we arrived at our night's stop dry and in good spirits.

    We got back here yesterday, picked up the car, complete with new baseplate, and we were trained in how to hook it up when we're ready to. This park is SOOO nice, with concrete pads, great power, internet, grass, and beautiful landscaping. And at ZERO cost, it sure can't be beat, even though it's in Pender!

    ARrived here this afternoon - our site was waiting for us, and tomorrow morning, we'll leave the Camaro here so Blue Ox can design and build a baseplate for it.
