The boatyard - land of dreams
... who sailed their boat here from Sweden across the Atlantic bound for who knows where. Our friend Dale, who we traveled with to the Abacos in 2011, just left here. He and his crew are headed back to the Abacos on Allegria, a beautiful boat he built. There are well over 60 boats in the work yard and everyone is hard at work on getting ready to launch.

Workin' hard in Indiantown
... most of the boats had mildew and mold problems. As of Thursday, Nov. 15, we are all moved aboard, the entire cabin cleaned and hanging closets cleaned and painted and now Den is busy working on the hull and bottom, painting and waxing. We'll be here for several more days at least before we will be ready to launch and then head to Loggerhead Marina in Stuart again. MORE TO COME! Here's a few pics.

The Road Trip - "for a reason"
... Sandy to make her entrance. She was due to hit us on Sunday and arrived on schedule. We had high winds and rain, but we never lost power. We called Denny's brother George and sadly we all felt it would be better to postpone our visit to D.C. It was great to see Kris, Mark & Dave and we even got to help put up their Christmas tree the day after Halloween.

Visit with Tom and Peggy
We left the hotel and headed for Conch Key and met Tom and Peggy. They have a beautiful home right on the water. We were offered a camping area right on the water when we first arrived on the keys but I had already booked the hotel in Marathon. Tom showed us the area and it was beautiful would have been great. We had a drink and chat then headed out.
It was a long day not a lot to photograph about the trip to Clewiston.

... people who own or owned homes here are Adam Sandler, Dwayne Johnson, Lucille Ball, Sonny and Cher, and Benny Binion (owner of The Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas prior to his death).
Our last stop for the day is Mai-Kai Restaurant and Polynesian Show. This is well worth it. The shows are changed every year. There is a garden to walk through outside the restaurant while you are waiting for your food and the ...
