... crossing the Cumberland River near where it joins the Ohio. Continued on highway 60 into Paducah then over the river back into Illinois and Metropolis where we found the statue of Superman and the statue of Noel Neill who played Lois Lane in the TV series of Superman.

Arrived early and got our pick of sites. We got this one right on the lake. At dusk, the family of skunks would come out to enjoy the fallen crab apples on the tree in our site. The sunsets were gorgeous! We met Puff the Purple Dragon on the beach! Loved the water tower.
