... it was very good it also happened to be located in Zurich's red light district and I can now confirm yes, yes it was. A potent cheesy smell hit our nostrils as we walked in (apparently, this is how you know it is a good fondue place). The restaurant was small with probably ten tables and several patrons already enjoying their pot of cheese. Ryan and I ordered a fondue with two types of cheese and wine mixed in. The fondue arrived with a heaping basket of bread cubes and a basket of ...

Everyone else got up- had to wake Kurt at 9:15 which was tough (apparently they were both up at 4am and Mark found them in the living room and made them go back to bed). We walked out to mariensplatz - caught the end of the glockenspiel. There is a lot ...

Somehow chiming little bells and happy Bavarian dancers make you forget that you are hundreds of feet in the air. Only a one good gust of wind to knock down a tower hundreds of years old. eek. Okay maybe I didn't completely forget that I was terrified.
Then down the stair we went. Much, much easier. I ...

... very squashy at the top!!! By the time we had headed back down, it was 11.55am and nearly 12pm glockenspiel time! The glockenspiel of the Neues Rathaus chimes twice per day in the winter, at 11am and 12pm. Just after the 12pm bells had finished, the 43 bells began their tune and the 32 figures began to move and twirl around. It tells historical stories - where the top half is a knights' tournament, which was held in 1568 to ...
