... we will arrive there so late, giving us really only tomorrow to explore. But no sense worrying about it, as it can't be helped. We did get to eat lunch today on a train in the dining car, so that was fun and something we hadn't yet gotten to do. We also got complimentary mints on one train, which we've never experienced, so that was cool, too. I'm sure if we are in Augsburg for an hour (this is the city where John was in an orphanage), we'll find something to entertain ...

We lined up at Hofbrauhaus which is a famous brewery. The lines were mayhem. We ended up in the upstairs section. First beer at 9:30 or so and then after an hour were kicked out! Wtf. Then our leader took us through the kitchen to the “Pig Pen” part of the tent. I don’t need to go ...

... the mornings. We took public transport to our camping accommodation which was 'stoke travel' (the ultimate party place). We joined the lengthy queue to check into our two person tent accommodation and were given a breakfast consisting of pig slop. Can you believe we paid €50 per person per night to sleep in a tent? Once check in was done and our tent was set up, we caught public transport to the famous Oktober-festival (Yeeha!). Oktoberfest. Well what can I ...

... from our Hotel - but it was an absolute mob scene, with the food counters unapproachable due to hordes of people in line, and nowhere to even think about sitting. So, we went to a different Biergarten in the Alter Botanischer Garten which was a little less crowded, and had a simple dinner there. Tomorrow, we're thinking of going a bit further afield - we'll start at the Olympic Park and see what we're in the mood for after ...
