Denne dagen ble en transportetappe gjennom Värmland på vei 61 gjennom Arvika, Karlstad. Vi gjore en litt lengere stopp i Sjötorp som var en sluse i Gjötakanalen. Vidre på E18 til Kristinehamn hvor vi fortsatte på 26 langs Vänern til Jönkjöping. Der fortsatte vi på E4 til Värnamo hvor vi tok kveld på Värnamo Camping. Kjørt distanse: 388 km Gjennomsnittsfart: 75,3 km/t Bensinforbruk: 1,33 pr. mil Literpris på 13,54 gir SEK 1,80 pr. mil

Nach unserem Wochenendausflug muss Anna die Woche über wieder zur Arbeit in die Tierklinik. Ich darf sie begleiten, verstehe aber in der Sprechstunde kein Wort und entschließe mich daher für den Op. Ich darf bei einigen sehr interessanten Operationen assistieren und möchte mich dafür nochmals herzlich bedanken.

Even liked it so much that I almost decided on staying for another day, but time is pressing and want to make it to Stockholm just to know I have the ferry across to Finland secured. Would be very silly if I came all this way and got stuck in Stockholm on the weddingday.... Also bought the latest HP book (Harry Potter of course!), so well into reading it of course.

... were (wait for it...) from Winnipeg, Dan's home town!! We had a long chat with them, it was very funny. Apparently it's quite good money, and they get to see some of Europe, so they spend the summers here doing Indian dances and playing drums for crowds of Swedish tourists, then work in a furniture store in Winnipeg over the winters. Several of them had Swedish girlfriends ...

A really, really great experience anyway, I would love to come back in summer as under all this snow it sounds very green and lush, you can pick blueberries all day, how grand, and swim in the lakes (unimaginable right now!) And they live in Husvana, the home of Huskvana power tools motorbikes etc. Itäs really forested which is nice and Gem and Jimmy's place backs onto great forests. ... that, this being a trilogy and all, the third part of the tale would have almost the same length gap between it as the first and second, and if this was a quality production (i.e.: Lord of the Rings) then that would indeed be true. But let's be honest, this is more like a dodgy Mini-series screened over two nights on Channel 7.
