The temple grounds are quite large and it was easy to spend an hour wandering the many hidden little halls and garden paths, pausing to take in the magnificent statues of Buddha in his various incarnations. I even stumbled across a group of monks enjoying a game of ping pong in a secluded courtyard. It’s a lush little oasis in the middle of an otherwise bustling city where the smell of incense permeates the air as people go about their prayer.
