Changping town was only a short stop over before our flight to Hainan, the most southern island of China. 50 minute journey to the airport we had time to spare. recidivism is well over 50%. Yuan laughed and said very few come back. He said
many of the crimes involved violence and the prisoners don’t want to come back
so the number is very low. He said at his prison the emphasis is on training
them in some kind of a trade. They work in factories, while in prison.

When we got back from lunch we headed ...

Just Gene, myself, Lewis and Belinda ate lunch with Yuan. We drove back to the hotel and picked up the rest of the family to head back to Haikou for our last night in Hainan.
