Have been back in Wuhan for a week now (actually 3 now by the time I've finished this & finally figured out how to post it) following my 7-week Asian Adventure. It feels a bit of a daunting task to describe my trip as I had so many amazing experiences. Before I left I was quite honestly feeling pretty scared about the whole thing. I turned on my video, but then realized that they may feel threatened, seeing that I was in China! They approached me shortly after and gave me a tract about finding peace with Jesus Christ. ... rice. Some of the restaurants we stop at on the road are dirty. The hotel ones are nice though. The one we just stopped at had wide open doors and tons of flies. I even saw some kind of lizard crawl across the ceiling and a dog ran through. Definitely wouldn't pass a U.S. inspection! Good thing I brought my toilet paper too. It was another squatter with no T.P. There is only one type of gas station ...

... We are on the 16th floor so there is a good view of the city. It's a very nice hotel so I'm happy! People drive crazy here. I would freak if I had to drive. There seem to be almost no rules. You just drive however you want and honk to get around people. Bicyclists and people walking are also numerous obstacles. Drivers don't stay in lanes or even on their own side of the road for that matter.

... You see he's been to Australia a few times, so we often speak of the things he's seen. We get to the topic of women, a common topic among chinese/foreigner relations. The usual question comes up "Do you think Chinese women are beautiful?" "Would you want to marry one?" ... any of the moves. It was definately an interesting day, to put it mildly. Thinking I would only have 1 or 2 lines was a big mistake. 'Twas a big day indeed. A difficult day. Like I said, I had to learn many lines in Chinese. The English lines often didn't make any sense. "Last scene" ended up being about 4 or 5 scenes. When I thought we were finished, the script would be thrust in my face ...

Sono tornato in cima all'isola, sperando di dover passare qui solo una notte. Domani cerchero di spostarmi in direzione Hong Kong. Per il resto niente novita...Ho passato un bel periodo a Sanya (al sud dove c erano le spiagge), l ultimo giorno sono andato a vedere l isola delle scimmie: bella, si puo girare e vedere le scimmie libere, ma poi c e anche il centro dell isola dove fanno spettacoli per i visitatori e li le maltrattano. Daro mie notizie quando saro a Hong Kong... saluti a tutti
