    ... be desired. Take a look at the pictures! Grim! The bathroom was brand new, although the plasterer had left all the grout smeared all over the walls. What a mess!
    To keep ourselves occupied for the day we got the bus to Qinling Mountain Park. It was refreshing to get away from the city and the noisy main streets.     ... across the lake to the first of four islands we visited.

    I said that if she liked boats bouncing over the water the next time they visit Australia I'll organise for captain Alan Clifford to take she and Claus on to Port Phillip bay.

    I added that he is a good helmsman in the best Chairman Mao tradition.

    Our trip involved snakes, dangling a python for a photo op, and artificial Dong, Boyi and Miao ...

    ... don't cross the streets anymore it is all underground walkways (some with shops)



    When we reached the centre of town and looked back up the street as we had done in the past the difference was palpable as you can see in the pics



    A play with some tops in the park concluded a memory laden wander. Sam thinks that I spin a mean top, especially when I lashed it with the rope.
