... of British colonisation. Our shaman has removed his robes and hat and is encouraging everyone to get drunk. He will eventually fall over, hitting his head on the shrine, and is helped into a taxi.

At 0430 we call it a night. The men climb onto their scooters and slide away. My beer-wallah, who has not stopped running all night, curls up under the table and goes to sleep. I stand under our window whistling until Amber wakes up and throws me down the key.

... including tree roots, boulders and steep areas that are rope assisted. You will spend a lot of time negotiating footing through uneven terrain. If you make one of the hikes you will be well rewarded at the end with a beautiful beach or postcard perfect views. Remember take lots of water. This is jungle with nearly 100% humidity and there are only basic facilities at the very end points with nothing between.

... and the naan bread gets stuck to the side. We love Indian and our naan bread so ordered one to try.....was beautiful. It is very easy to walk around the 'old Georgetown' area, seeing all the street art was amazing and they also told stories of the history so a bit of a free history lesson as well.
