Speaking of original curriculum, the students have their first test tomorrow! I've never actually administered a test, so I'm excited to see how they respond to my potentially really difficult exam. Guess that'll be for another update. Wish them luck.

... end a day. Nothing much else has happened, we've been on the tourist bus to see Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, Stanley and had a boat tour of Victoria and Aberdeen harbours. The contrast between the beautiful beaches and bays around Stanley with the busyness of down town HK is dramatic, though with temperatures on the beach touching 40 degrees the sand is too hot for bare feet! It was here that we were once again mobbed for photos by visiting Chinese nationals ...

We took a taxi past fancy casinos and hotels to get to Largo do Senado, an old square with a tiled floor and European-styled buildings (Macau used to be a Portuguese colony). Went to Kowloon Park and discovered it just happened to be Chinese New Year. Saw Demonstrations of Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Dragon Dancing and Lion Dancers. Always happy for us to participate.
