... through trees that rattle and bang against the sides and roof, Doris was doing quite well until she directed us down a foot path!!! We ignored her and carried on taking the next left . Only to find a large water tank about 10ft high, with 6 inch water pipes attached blocking the road. Today we got into Volos, Greece early in the morning. We didn't have to be back on the ship until 6:30 at night so we really had the entire day at shore which was nice, except we came to find out very quickly that Volos has absolutely nothing to see. The tours on the cruise ship were all to go see the monks in the monasteries. Although I thought this would be interesting to go see, I did not find it worth the price. We had done a little research and decided ...

13 Aug. This morning we docked at 7.45am in Volos on mainland Greece, temp now 25C rising to 35C by noon. After breakfast we boarded our coach at 9am for our tour of 2 greek villages. Our lady guide, Basila was very informative but a bit too much on Greek mythology ...
