Only to find a large water tank about 10ft high, with 6 inch water pipes attached blocking the road. We squeezed past but the pipes that ran in the direction we wanted to go got stuck between the wheels, as we moved along the pipe wriggled like a giant snake, it looked quite surreal. The track ...
... the effort from what we have heard. I forgot to mention that we lost a wheel off one of the suitcases so I had to carry one suitcase, pull one and wear a backpack, I felt like a pack mule.
I read in the newspaper today that the UK is settling in for some hurricane and wet weather, I have to admit we felt slightly smug when boarding the plane today if not a little sorry for poor old blighty.

On the way back to the ship, we met our Alaskan friends. He wanted to continue to town, but she was not feeling well. She reminded us of the Ritva, our Finnish friend, looked, when we commandeered her to San Antonio, Texas on a lovely 105 degree day. The three us safely returned to the ship, its showers and air conditioning. Travellers from the a hundred years ago would not be very impressed with us.

We walked down to a little church and walked around in it, and then through the shopping area, which was more like a really bad garage sale. The weather wasn't helping it was cool, damp, and rainy.
