What I've learnt:
To call Taiwanese landlines, you should only enter 8 numbers, just like Hong Kong. We've learnt that because we called the wrong number when we were trying to reach the Mountain Star to reserve places for hot tub. I typed in the whole series of numbers including '02', which was apparently not supposed to be included.
