Teaching & Tutoring

... Center for International Cooperation. The University people made the connection because by working with the NGO, they can get me my work permit, then I can teach at the University. As it is, I'm perfectly happy to just keep teaching at Kim's. The woman and husband are fairly wealthy and offered me a "Villa" to live in if I tutored their kids and some other people. That sounded good, until I got to see the Villa. Basically I'd have a bedroom in a very large house that I'd share with a ...

... of which he dragged hger up onto the centre table for a slow dance! pure comedy gold! not wanting to be outdone, the next guy asked her up so he could dedicate a traditioal vietnames song to her! which he then thad a bash at singing in english! i have that one recorded! oh, almost forgot to mention, all of this went on with brid clutching a beach towel to herself as she was still bikini clad from the swimming! as if this wasn't random enough, we were then all ...

Sealegs..

... boring, but there turned out to be a pretty awesome coral field (or is reef the word?) a bit off that just huge, and covered in coral. All in all I'd say diving is pretty good, and the scenery was awsome - but I don't know if I'd make a habit of it - especially back home where the water is not quite as warm!
After our diving experience we made back for the main land (the islands around Nha Trang apparently get pretty windy in the afternoon) and spent the rest of the ...

Oh how the mighty have fallen…after Miss Uni

... beautiful, however it seemed to be managed by a band of humans destined for the Darwin Awards. To start off our stay, they forgot to pick us up from the airport, so we demanded taxi fare compensation before even checking in. We later found out that our room lacked hot water and considering this was the one and only time the entire trip when a hot shower sounded remotely enticing, we were fairly distraught. Prior to dinner we also ...

... lay out on and we were on the bottom so we had a table to play cards on. They only bad thing about the train is the time, it left at 2pm and took 9 hours, so daytime traveling. There is no announcer to know when we arrive at our destination, not that it would've been in English anyway, but the coach attendant opens your cabin and starts folding the blanket, that's the hint.

So we made it late into ...

It started with the sleeping bus...

... Nha Trang me and Pete decided to change our plans (this was always one of the best things about our trip: we had no concrete plans). A few of the girls we'd met in Vang Vieng (Laos) were down on Koh Phangan for the Full Moon party on the 7th June - Emma and Louise and the Norwegians (Silje and Marthe). We booked flights from HCMC to Bangkok and planned to head down on the night train before getting to the Islands for one final week of partying and CHILLLIIIINNNGGG.
A Quick Stop for Sunburn!

Just a quick entry this time. The overnight bus from Hoi An South to Nha Trang was something else! There were three double rows of seats that recline right the way back and you have to strap yourself right in. It felt like something from the matrix with everyone strapped in! It was fairly comfy though apart from that some turkey was snoring really loudly all night and everyone was getting annoyed and taking it in turns to wake him up and shut him up ...
