... some uninterrupted girl talk for about half an hour before the boys came down. then we went to china town for some yummy dinner and then back to the hotel after a short stroll. Jess and I were going to go for a drink but we decided to act our age and succomb to our exhaustion and go to bed. we are getting old! I was the only one who had not had a nap in the afternoon so I was very very tired and the hotel had very very good pillows~!

... People had been walking over it and past it. There is no special sign marking the spot, but there it was, and enduring reminder of what is precious. We dream, we believe our dreams, we realize our dreams. Our final steps took us to the White House. We were surprised by its elegant simplicity. Instead of being imposing, it appeared to be the perfect mansion for the president of a great country. And then I saw them..the segues and their helmeted passengers, and I was jealous.

... Unfortunately it was getting late by the time we arrived there and the museum was closing. However we were still able to do the drive around the park to view the battle areas and monuments. It is a very cute little town and I imagine incredibly busy in the summertime. Then it was on to Washington for the next couple of days.
