Awsome day
... for us. This morning we took her to breakfast before leaving Altoona. Don't even ask about the hotel where we spent the night. We will tell you all about it later. On a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 2.
We are in Peerysburg, Ohio for the night. Tomorrow we will travel to Moline,Ill. It will be our last stop before we head back to Minnesota.
It has been a wonderful and exhausting trip. A memory forever.

We stayed at beautiful Rock Cut State Park last night (in Illinois, just north of Chicago), were treated to a fun thunderstorm, and woke up to a clear sunny day. Jake had a spill skateboarding around camp - speed wobbles going down a hill. I've been referring to him by pro skaters' names all day (pro skaters from the 80's mind you), and telling stories of my crashes when I was his age. Those stories ...
When life gives you lemons....
... to the Wind Turbines on Route 6. We thought there would be a building to visit and that we would get close to the wind turbines, but they had a solar-powered computerized terminal to present the info. Unfortunately, the computer was not working... Since it was a five minute stop we decided to take the kids into Grand Rapids, Ohio. We went shopping in a couple of stores before stopping at Thurman's fruit stand on our way back to Bowling Green.

... There were a couple of artists that we have seen at the KIA art fair in Kalamazoo. After a quick fix for Andy at Game Stop to make up for "boring art" we headed to Lola's Yogurt Bar for frozen yogurt. This place is really neat. They have 12 choices of self serve frozen yogurt that you can put choose toppings and how much of each. They weigh the bowl for your charge. ...
Home is Where the Heart Is
... times it would have been nice to have a vehicle to unhitch and go, but that adds additional length which then restricts your routes again. Choose smaller than bigger; we did fine without all the bells and whistles, and you will be glad you did on those really steep mountains!
