NFL game day arrived. Seattle Seahawks verses the Jacksonville Jaguars (Florida). Last night we visited the Sports Den and decked ourselves out in the Seahawks tshirts. Only problem this morning we have rain, wind and cold. With tshirts over the top of thermals we set out for Century Link Field. By the time we got there it was raining steadily. …
We left Vancouver and our comfy apartment and city views today. The border crossing at Peace Arch took about an hour but we were entertained by a dude taking photos and then having to run to catch up with his car, which he was the driver of! Not sure how that was working.
We arrived in Seattle just in time to tackle the Pike Place market …

We pack up and check out of our motel, and get ready to drive north! Instead of driving along the coast, this time we'll go straight up the I5. We are expecting the journey to take about 3 hours to get up there. Over the Columbia River we enter Washington State, and travel through the small town of Vancouver. Before long it is pouring with rain, so I take it a little slower on the road. We won’t be seeing ...

Homewood Suites: A terrific value!
The Homewood Suites was very conveniently located, so we did not have to drive and pay parking. Enjoyed the kitchenette with full-sized fridge! Complimentary breakfast was first-rate! Even a small fire that emptied the hotel on Saturday night did not dampen our enjoyment of our stay! We will go back!
Just like home.....
I recently stayed 2 nights at the Homewood Suites. I was able to secure the Entertainment rate of $99/night which was a great deal. My room was on the 4th floor and have wonderful views of Elliot Bay and the Olympic Mountains. The room was spacious, clean, very comfortable - it was just like home. Homewood Suites provided complimentary breakfast and dinner.
This was a plus since I was on the go for my stay. I would recommend the Homewood Suites and stay their again.
Homewood Suites, Downtown Seatle
My husband and I recently stayed at the Homewood Suites in downtown Seattle. We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The breakfast they served in the morning was excellent and they even offered a light meal in the evenings Mon. thru Fri. Great location; near many of the tourist sites. Highly recommend this hotel.
The last week of July, my husband, my 13 year old son and I went to a family wedding in Snohomish, WA. Once the wedding festivities were over, we moved into the Homewood Suites on the edge of Seattle Center. This was a very good place to stay. We had a fabulous bayside view overlooking the Myrtle Edwards Park. The suite included two televisions, a full kitchen (groceries could be delivered or within walking distance), and a sofa bed. Each morning we had a full buffet breakfast of eggs, sausage, pancakes, breads, fruits, cheese, juices and of course Starbucks coffee. Each evening we had the option to have a light supper and drinks. We only did this one evening, but it was good. Ravioli, bread and salad with wine or beer. All of this food is included in the price of the room. I figure we saved some, and it was convenient. Now on to Seattle! We were able to ride the bus from right in front of the hotel to the Market Place. We had a wonderful time exploring the shops, listening to the musicians, and of course the flying fish. We got a CityPass, even though we did not use all of it, we got more than the value we paid. The Aquarium is fun, and the IMAX was a bonus. We enjoyed the Seattle Ducks ride (Captain Al Tuna we love you!), and Seattle Center was exhausting but fun. My guys are music crazy and loved Experience Music. The Science Museum was fun also. We did get a chance to go to Discovery Park and to the Fish Ladder. Unfortunately, we were about a week or two late for one variety of salmon jumping, but we did get to see boats go through the locks. The botanical garden was nice to. Next time I manage to get to Seattle, I will focus on the San Juan Islands and a trip to Victoria, BC.
The Suites are sweet....
I had a great time at the HWS in Seattle. The Sales staff is always accomodating and the rooms are wonderful. The breakfast is really great for a continental style... My family will always go back.
We stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Seattle-Downtown this past weekend. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The all-suite hotel is good for families like ours with older children. The included breakfasts were good, but the serving area was crowded with all the guests.
Outstanding Value and Comfort
We spent two nights in the Homewood Suites, and will definitely stay there the next time we are in Seattle. Very clean, plenty of room, friendly staff, underground parking, a fully-stocked kitchen, and a supersized complimentary breakfast were included in the reasonable price of the room. An easy walk to the Space Needle, Seattle Center, and casual restaurants, we enjoyed being a few blocks away from the Market area. We inadvertantly left two small pieces of jewelry in our trash when we left; when we called, the staff searched until they found them for us! Highly recommended: Outstanding Value and Comfort!
A great base for seattle
we returned from seattle yesterday and really enjoyed our stay at the Homewood Suites. located a short walk from the seattle center, waterfront, belltown, etc. the hotel is a perfect place to explore downtown seattle. the rooms are plain but clean and the kitchenette as always, comes in handy.
I just stayed six nights at this hotel and I really enjoyed it.
Good location, good price
Stayed here for New Year's eve 2002. The location is excellent, just a few blocks from Seattle Center where you can catch the monorail to downtown. The waterfront area is walking distance. It is on a busy street but on one side of hotel you can see the harbor. The higher the room the better the view. Good rates online, especially the govt/corporate rate. Breakfast and free happy hour were good, but crowded. Secure parking for a fee.
