There are signs everywhere for dust storms. For whatever reason, I really wanted one to kick up. With very few other cars on the road and the pitchness of the night, visibility couldn't get much worse.
... but the crazy thing about this place is that it had a Petting Zoo?! Right in the middle of no where with nothing else around. It had a Dairy Queen there also. We patted a zebra and a donkey. They had goats, sheep and emu's, unbelievable really and you could put money in the lolly machine and turn some pellets out, the zebra was asking for the stuff and nipping and pushing until he got it. ... You could see the salt flats. You could see all around from this viewpoint.. The mountains were reflected in the water. The sunset was beautiful even though there were clouds. The view by the Marina was nice but there were too many flies to get out of the car.
