At least this trip was a planned trip. Very well planned actually. I had to fit a trip across the country and meetings with 2 separate mills in different cities into 2 days. I had a class Wednesday night from 7pm-11pm and the second part of the class Saturday morning at 8am. ... who have been slowing making their way up the Willamette and terrorizing the fish and fisherman. Whew... Come visit Portland and you are welcomed to stay. There are some other things that I would of loved to tell you, for instance how to pernounce some of our Indian influenced rivers and counties. But I quickly loosing the ability to think properly. You just have to visit, pick up the Finder and explore the scene yourself. I love my hometown and am proud to be part of it's evolution.

... back to Australia to the Gold Coast arose which they excitedly took . They ended up leaving the country before us & we dropped them to the airport about 10 days later!! In between helping them pack & sell furniture we did some sightseeing.

A gen-u-ine log cabin. That's what we were promised, and that's what we got. Well, sure it had electric lights and indoor plumbing and even a microwave by the kitchen sink. But the logs were rough-hewn and chinked and we believed, yes we did, that we were back there, back then. Details later.
