... try and dress like the local people. It will be warm there. I'm glad for that as here in Arizona in the desert no less we have had a lot of rain today and a lot of snow in the North. It is just hard to beleive the weather here. Every so often a siginal comes on the TV with a notice of the weather.
Mesa, Arizona, United States claranell... any pictures as evidence, though, do you. No no, we were incognito cute.
Here's a tip for anyone coming to Phoenix: get signed up on the Internet for Groupon and get email alerts for special deals in the valley. We saved a bunch of money by getting half price tickets for tonight. It works like this, you have 24 hours to purchase and if they get enough buyers the deals on, if not, you're not charged. So you either buy or ignore with a new deal coming out every day.

... get something, Fred had to go back to Toys R Us to get something, and I volunteered to brave Walmart to get Janine's girls some motorised bikes that were a huge bargain at only $50. By the time Janine and I found the aisle that had the bikes, quite a few people were standing by the pallets which they were stacked on and had claimed 'x' amount for themselves. Janine found a nice young guy and his girlfriend who said that would save us one, and at 4.40am ...

Yummy breakfast this morning with the State of Texas shaped waffles – heh heh. Naturally Fred, Josh & I had to sample them!
Hit the road by 9am and drove straight to Wilcox, Arizona where we had a rather disappointing lunch at a local Burger Joint called 'Carters' – cost us $25 for the four of us, and that was 3 small burgers (tiny by U.S size standards), 2 ...
... bed! It even cut a gully there! Well, I wanted to flush the holding tank out good and this should have done it!! I got the glass coffee table set up outside along with the palm tree and the big Mexican vase and a couple of chairs. Wayne and Ro came by later and he helped me get the jacks level—I had them down but not level. Then he got the glass top for the outside table from behind the couch for me. He suggested I not put it there again too! I rode back with them in the ...
Gold Canyon, Arizona, United States teamccFinally got my title and registration for "The Beast" today. Was waiting on the insurance paperwork to come through and at 1pm today, I saw the mailman posting todays letters for the apartments. I rushed over to check if my insurance was here but alas, still nothing. Instead of waiting another day, I seeked out a place that had internet access and a printer. The library had both so away I went. I hate libraries, everyone is so ...

We picked them up about 6:15 and headed west to Waldo's BBQ where we had a great meal and caught up on them. Back to their place for a bit, then home and eventually off to bed. apache junction, Arizona, United States teamcc... blog from me this fall as we cruise from NYC up to Nova Scotia; we'll be visiting the Chealsea Market, which is just below the Food Network's studios... but another time...). Honestly, my husband and I are kinda meat and potatoes kinds of folks, but in the almost 9 years that we've been married, we have ventured into other eating areas, either alone or together, so we've slowly become a bit more ...
Queen Creek, Arizona, United States laurieraWe drove to Chandler and stopped to visit the Sonora Desert Museum on the way. Not really a museum, more like a zoo with major plant displays, namely cacti. It was really well done, a great way to see the plants and animals of the region. Two highlights here were the wolves, and mountain lions. My favourite was when we saw a wild rattle snake just slithering through the undergrowth at the side of the path. No glass or fences between us, very ...
