Ideal for recovering from a long flight

We had a suite on the 7th floor with a (reasonably comfortable) king-sized bed in the bedroom, a small kitchen (which we didn't use), a small bathroom (which we did use) and a smallish, but comfortable lounge room.

There were 42" TVs in the bedroom and lounge with a good range of channels. Internet access was good (both cable and Wi-Fi).

The location, in the middle of the Blue Lagoon, was picturesque, but the proximity to the airport meant the was some aeroplane noise, but not enough to cause us any concern.

Free parking was good, but it was outside and it was raining when we checked-in.

The only other negatives were the hair-dryer didn't work and one of the power outlets didn't work either.

The breakfasts were good and the evening meal (Mon to Thu only) were adequate.

Especially given the price, we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. It is ideal for recovering from a long flight.

... Miami is very Spanish. All the signage is in English and Spanish; many people speaking only Spanish across the city. We found ourselves reactively dribbling out our pitiful few Spanish words, here and there. Apparently, in the 1950's 3.5m Cubans emigrated to Miami, massively expanding the city's existing 1m population. On our last night there, we witnessed a tremendous thunderstorm, ripping its way through the city. It ...

Anyway, many of the people we met have been to England and hope to come again. We were nice tt them apparently. All good to hear.

Miami is one part good, all other parts sucky. We checked out of the hostel and packed the car and took our bags to our new hotel. Much nicer and a lot safer! Then it was a drive to the airport to get the rental car back and then a rush to the other side of the airport to catch the shuttle bus back to our hotel where we were getting picked up at 9:50am for our Everglades Airboat Tour. Today was bound to be ...

For a while today, I wondered when I would get off to Miami. The flight before mine was delayed and delayed and delayed. Luckily, it got cancelled and mine took off only a little late. Considering the weather that was not bad. Larry drove me to the airport and I found the American desk to check my bags which took forever. While talking to the mother and daughter behind me I found out they are going on the same cruise. Then I found ...
