Today we had an early start as we drove from Washington to New York through many states including Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. The trip took most of the day. Driving in America is unlike Australia, as this is the 'land of the car' and most major highways are at least 3 lanes each way and up to 6. Now I could have left that guy there on the sidewalk, he was after all a stranger in a strange land. But I invited him to join me. My hotel room was the size of a ball room so beside the queensize bed I'd ordered there was a big fold out bed for me. For the love of me I've forgotten his name, but I do remember he was headed home ...

... troops would use to travel. In the station somewhere there is a room called M71, where all the train wires Azande electrical things are. If that room was destroyed or damaged the entire railway system in Grand Central would come to a halt, thus impacting on the war effort.. The Germans knew about this and the Americans knew that they would try to destroy it. There was allegedly a lift that goes straight down to that room and because of this solders ...
