Paul's and John's Day
Paul sleeps in and has Vegemite toast for breakfast. John takes our bike off for a clean and detail while Paul sleeps, and on the way back, the bike goes choke choke chug chug and then runs out of gas - luckily he calls a friend to bring him out some gas so he can get home.

Today we travelled through the states of New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, crossing the Delaware River into Delaware and Maryland to get to John and Sharon's place in Virginia.

... to Jacksons for a beer and cocktail. They had the most amazing Ginger and Lime Martini - I got the recipe and will recreate at home. Wendy was our barmaid and she bought us a round! She has travelled too, so she shared some of her travel photos with us.

... Union and Confederate soldiers died in this battlefield on one day. Dunker Church and Lower Bridge (Burnside Bridge) still stand today and the entire battlefield is preserved, with corn fields growing where cornfields were growing in the Civil War. The Visitor Centre had and amazing exhibition of war relics to see.

Some interesting things to share - the light switches in American houses are opposite to ours - down for off and up for on, just like in the movies!
