Our first day on R66... the much anticipated start to this part of our journey ... Weathers improving ....slightly...stopped raining but still cold. Forecast for tomorrow into high seventies so that is a definite improvement. Progress is slow at the moment because every time we ask an American a question they just want to talk, and how they can talk!!! Nice though . Visited the war museum and the Route 66 museum at Pontiac, really interesting. The bike really uses lots of fuel, only did 100 miles and needed to refill it, it cost an outstanding $7 ...
