... br>Well, in order to make it back to Atlanta for a wedding, I had to leave earlier then I wanted and pull another 12 hour drive. This also marks one of the last entries in my travel blog. I'll have one more entry when I get back to Atlanta.
I really didn't get enough time in Dallas and I look forward to going back, visiting John, Patty and the girls again, and exploring the city.
Our first stop was to see Tommy (brother) and Debbie (sister) at their house in Dallas. First thing we did was drop off my dry cleaning at my usual spot in The Colony, it is so much cheaper than anywhere in Austin. Afterwards we met Tommy and Debbie at Stonebriar Mall in Frisco to see the New Moon movie. Boy that was a snooze fest, I tried to ...
Dallas, Texas, United States qpoal0198... is a very nice and beautiful garden. I am enjoying the beauty and wonders of the outdoors. Children can enjoy a lot there as there were beautiful arrangements of playing and fun in this garden. Third day I went to see the Dallas city famous for our museum thus I walked at The sixth floor museum as well Dallas museum of art, first museum I stayed at there ...
Dallas, Texas, United States adamsprincesVicki and I are extremely blessed with wonderful children. Because we have such great kids, blending them together may pose some occasional challenges, but if our first meeting was any indication...our kiddos will be BEST FRIENDS. We had a great day playing pick up basketball, and taking them to the Dallas zoo. Much fun was had by all! Truly blessed to have 2 new sons to my already great family unit.
Warsaw, Texas, United States thebragg8... every time she turned a corner) talked the entire way on her cell phone. But, other than that (and the 4-am stop to sit in Amarillo while they cleaned the bus) -- quite uneventful :)
Arriving in Dallas, we've explored the downtown area, including the area where JFK was shot in '63 -- right by our hotel, as it turns out. From our hotel window, you can see the 6th floor window of the Texas Book Depository and part of the Grassy Knoll.
We headed up to Dallas, Yvonne hoping to see nodding donkeys and ranches. We had seen a few isolated nodding donkeys in New Mexico but none since and only one or two ranches but there was a lack of vast quantities of cattle. We had seen many cattle on the border with Mexico in El Paso and these were not roaming across the Texas countryside but in dry muddy enclosures with a stench that you could smell from the road with the windows closed on the car. We arrived at ...
Dallas, Texas, United States yvonne.stowe... I'm going to have to sneak the extra people without the staff getting curious...Tricky business....However, I now that no matter what happens, I'm going to have a great time! A-Kon has always been a great convention with so many things to do. You should take a look at their site. A-Kon.com. They have live bands and raves! This con, I should have plenty of money.
Dallas, Texas, United States badwiccaAmerican Airlines nearly ruins my trip....my original flight which was supposed to leave at 10:10am never leaves the ground....at 11:45am...AA has another flight bound for Tokyo and because I have carry-on luggage only, I'm allowed to board the flight and make it to Tokyo with 40 minutes to change planes and airlines ( Japan Air, they rock!!) . American Airlines...never again you *******s.
Dallas, Texas, United States rone_9... food for the money too. Our waiter guy loved our accents and gave us great service. They seem to like biscuits (scones) over here for breakfast, quite often they cover them in something either sugary or fatty. We then managed, with a few wrong turns, to get to Athens in Texas which took us over 2 1/2 hours - it should have taken 90 minutes according to the computer, but we got hopelessly lost by taking one wrong turn on the freeway. Man ...
