Feeling sad leaving my dogs, and Wayne... I mean Wayne and my dogs! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! For once I will be ahead of all of you as Japan is 13 hours ahead! Love you all and will miss all of ...

    THE NECESSARY EVIL OF FLIGHT

A travel blog entry by tezzatravels on May 17, 2012

2000 departure from my parents' home. Uneventful trip, check-in and security, being on line by 2155. Some 20M of emails and web stuff [happy to see my American Idol favourite got thru to the final]. By 2220 reading up on Istanbul. Going to be a long night, all the more so if we get fed at 0100. A cosmopolitan collection of passengers, seemingly split 50/50 re those with[out] Turkish heritage.

    Aboard a B777-300ER at gate E75. Pulled back at 2349, 6M ...
