    Today is a free day so we are going walkabout through the city. We pretty much have got an idea how the streets run and know which areas are what e.g. the fashion district, the finance district, Upper Manhattan, Lower Manhattan, Little Italy, China Town, Little Korea, South Houston (pronounced Howsten) Don't say Hewston or they get offended.

    ... for that morning's dress rehearsal of Verdi's Requiem, being performed by the NY Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir. We breakfasted at a restaurant opposite, and while the coffee and food were excellent, the quantities were absurdly gigantic. We are finding this more often than previously in NY.
