Again, skipping to the end, we arrived at 9.30am & left at 3pm & got some great stuff including Fray's first purchase from Polo Ralph Lauren. ... rolls & clam chowder. Very tired after 2 weeks on the road. May sit for a while here & just read. This town is where the Bush summer estate is situated. Wikipedia it, bloody gorgeous! The gift shop in town is unashamedly anti-Obama rather than pro-Bush. They sell lots of stuff bagging Obama. ... at Mike's Clam Shack in Wells, Maine. Many in the group opted for lobster---what else are you going to do in Maine? And yes, we had the bibs and got messy fighting for our food.




Our hotel, Ogunguit River Inn and Suites was unique and hospitable. There was a beautiful view in the back of the bay lit by a lovely moon.

Folks back home most often ask what we miss most about land and the answer is always an easy one, THEM! During our two week visit back to New England we were able to meet up with some of our family and friends. The unfortunate thing is that we were not able to meet up with everyone we wanted to see. However, we were able to enjoy the time with the ones we did and will cherish them.
