A three hour wait at Phoenix Sky Harbor, but at least we're in one of the airport lounges. So we're stuffing ourselves on pretzels, reviewing our itinerary, and yes ... I'm repacking! ... I requested... thank God.

About a 35 minute ride to the hotel(what is it with people getting in the middle lane and going 5 mph below the posted speed limit??? ARGH) and I arrived. So far I am very impressed with this hotel. I am staying at The Boulders, a Waldorf Astoria Resort in Carefree, on the very north fringe of the metro area. The staff is very helpful and very laid back here. My room wasn't ready so I was given a voucher for two ...
