    ... when packing up this morning, he was in one of the leveling blocks underneath the tire. Kids wanted to take him with, of course. Find it interesting that each state has a different "feel" about them, pretty neat! Arrived at Santa Rosa beach state park, very beautiful, and HUMID! Love our campsite.     ... lights in place of the oil lamp it was originally equipped with. Before electricity, the lighthouse keeper had to refill the kerosene three times each night. This was done by walking up the stairs carrying the cans of kerosene which weighed about 35 pounds or so. This while carrying a lantern in the other hand. Can't imagine doing that. The structure is 150' tall and is constructed of brick.
