      ... at the door! So good to see her. Of course in an attempt to overcome the jet lag we had to go out but only after a refreshing swim in the pool. We explored the Strip a little walking down to the Bellagio where we marvelled at the floral,fruit and pumpkin displays in the central lobby , ate royally in the Asian fusion restaurant and then watched the fountains playing in time to the music.       ... Coming out of Death Valley was a welcome relief to most riders but I coped with it OK.

      Onwards towards Las Vegas saw a new challenge - we were hit with a tropical storm with heavy rains and extremely strong cross winds with the odd bolt of lightning thrown in for good measure. A fair bit of aqua planing but we all stayed on our bikes but got somewhat wet in the process.

      ... been deprived of a coffee for several days he actually queued at a Starbucks for 10 minutes to buy an espresso. Never happened before and may never happen again. It did the job.

      We were very excited when we released our room overlooks The Strip and the Bellagio fountain. Great views both day and night in the city that never sleeps.
