Week 3. I am officially a Hilton Man! From now on and until the end of my traveling days I will attempt to only stay at Hilton properties. You may wonder why... well, honestly, because my buddy Chris once took me to the Hilton Honors lounge at his hotel in Boston and I felt really cool. Anyway do your research before committing to a chain, I did mine and chose Hilton.
Thant being said, lets talk Homewood Suites.
So I arrived on Mon night and was warmly greeted and helped. I walked up to my room and kinda freaked out. It was huge. A legit 1 bedroom suite. One closed off bedroom with a king bed, 1 person seater, TV, closet, drawers, etc. One full kitchen (I didnt take advantage of it but it was there). a large living room with TV desk, etc etc. Full bathroom, good size. After admiring all of it I got a call to my room, it was unexpected. It was the hostess asking if everything was good with my room. Loved it, nice touch.
Further notes. Breakfast is included for all and it changes. it was yummy. There was also a managers reception in the evenings where I got free food (rotated daily) and some wine or beer. I opted for wine it was delicious (most free things are). The fitness center is small, just 3 treadmills. There was always one empty when I wanted one so I cant complain. There is a pool but its not open early in the AM. Didnt look like it would be too good for swimming laps.

Part I - Montreal departure This might just be the longest day ever. Although, who am I to complain when I'll be in the country of my dreams tomorrow?! I remember as a little girl I always spoke about traveling to England, it's hard to believe that day is here. I woke up at 4am this morning to catch my shuttle bus to make it to the airport in time. I had a stale chocolate croissant for breakfast (yum, I know), compliments of the hotel, and went off to the ...
... it would be a good idea to save money and walk to the Science and Industry museum, which we really wanted to see. After 1.5 hours walking in the mid day heat, we were informed by a kind lady that the museum was still 10 miles away and we really should take a bus. The first bus dropped us at 55th street (the ghetto) to change the bus. Being the only white tourusts within a 10 block radius, we did rather stand our like a sore thumb and the ...
... and Tam for your hospitality! It was a great visit.
Bob and I entered the stadium while the others finished a drink across the street. There was a promotional give away of a 50's era Mr. Potatohead keychain but it was only for children. Bob tried, unsuccessfully, to talk a gate attendant into giving me one considering the trip I was on. After walking around the stadium (except the outfield bleachers which require a ...
... soviet van sawed in half. The place has a huge courtyard filled with old cars and plants that seem to reclaim the walls. It must have been three stories tall with nooks and crannies you could get lost in even if you didn’t want to. I have this one story about a girl that was selling carrots…it was a truly amazing bar.
The next day I just kind of chilled out. That ...
