... overflowed, demolishing the property down by the river and the paco (fern) planted as you hike up to the main house area of the farm is completely under the mud. Auntie Marilyn (Manager of ENCA and my host Aunt) used the words that ENCA is devastated and back to zero. Additionally the Barangay of Santo Nino, which is located up-stream from the farm, has been ...

... drive day for us, we pulled into St Vrain State Park. The anticipated cold front arrived here on Thursday and it got down right chilly on Friday night. The highs have been in the 20's and we got about 3 inches of snow. The good news is that it is much colder in South Dakota and Nebraska so we made the right choice to come to Colorado ...
Longmont, Colorado, United States thesairsI am paying the price today of the train ride to Denver---Islept maybe a total of 3 hours. Arrived in Denver at 7AM. Barely light out. Fortunately the hotel was just across the street from Union Station. I appeared on their doorstep luggage in tow, and they took pity on me and gave me a room. This is the oldest hotels in denver. just great, it is most convenient to everything. I walked around for a while. Then took an afternoon Grayline tour of city. Pretty interesting ...
Denver, Colorado, United States grandmapearl... tour of a meadery (Mead is a type of honey based wine) and possibly a stop at The Leaning Tree which is the maker of those authentic-ish Indian (Native American, whatever!) cards and gifts, but we didn't have time for either since we had to catch our bus tour at 4PM. We were at lunch from about 12:30 to 3!! So we left the restaurant and walked down Pearl Street, which is basically a 4 block pedistrian only area filled with shops and bars and ...
Boulder, Colorado, United States kimmytravelsVi packade ihop våra viktigaste ägodelar i 23 flyttkartonger.
... the way a town appeared that was full of casinos. Apparently, it's a CO sanctioned gambling town.
Finally, we arrived in Boulder a real granola cruncher college town and walked the 'scene' on the Pearl Street mall. There were jugglers, street musicians of all types including digeri do players, mimes, panhandlers (each with a different story), many tourists like us, and all ...
... magnificently and hopefully it will only get better.
So, now that I've meta-mused on my travels for a bit and settled on what is to come of me after them, I shall return this blog to it's former glory as "repository of the occasionally debaucherous tales of Daniel's travels". Next up: New Orleans - breaking in to jazz festivals, gospel church services (and being the only white guy in them), car rides with chain-smoking creepy ex-carnies, fried chicken, and more.
... enthusiasm by Tracy who had been floating around on the pool in a tube reading a book....shading her pages with her straw cowboy hat. We knew we had found the place! Ginger showed up and we three took off on a bike ride to get to know her neighborhood and downtown Boulder. Ginger was moving along at quite a clip for this photo-journalist so not many pix were gotten on that trip. So, dear reader, please know that Ginger ...
Boulder, Colorado, United States jodieandandy... determined kid, and coupling that with reasonably frequent stops (every 10-15 miles or so) and coupling that with being able to take 10 or 12 hours if we need to, and we should be fine. Our rolling speed in our training rides has been between 13 and 15 miles an hour which will get us across Iowa I'm sure. I'll hopefully be posting pics and updating as we go, so keep checking back!
