DAY 2 Monday we started out doing "Tomb" which is an interactive adventure where you are trapped in an Egyptian pyramid and must find your way out by solving puzzles. It was pretty cool. Michael liked it. That is located right by Fenway Park baseball stadium. Next we rushed back to the Omni hotel to check out and move on to the Homewood Suites, located just outside Boston in Peabody. This is a nice hotel with seperate bedrooms and kitchens. After checking in at the new hotel, we took the T tr...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States ken999991A late start again, not as bad as yesterday though. We got out the door of our hotel room at 8:30am and went down to the lobby for the free breakfast. I was a decent setup. They had waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, cheese omletts, bagels and more. They also have a free light supper, but we have not been around for that. After breakfast we hopped onto the train and rode it to the Harvard Museum of Natural History. There we saw lots of mounted bugs, stuffed mammals, fish and birds, and dinosaur ...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States ken999991ALARM We were awoken shortly after 5am this morning to the lovely sound of a fire alarm in the hotel. At first I thought, wow that clock alarm is alot louder than it was yesterday! I hit the snooze button, but it kept on squeeling. Well, I then realized as I awoke completely that it was the fire alarm. We grabbed a few things threw on some clothes and hustled out to our car in the parking lot to wait it out. Fire trucks came and we were outside for about 25minutes or so. Turns out it was a mo...

Bored sitting here waiting for my flight to Seoul (scheduled to leave @ 0050 hrs.). Catching up on some emails & research in the meantime. Still have a few more calls to make before the flight; will check in once I arrive in Seoul as it may be last contact 'til the return trip (not sure how technologically savvy our base camp will be). Happy holiday, everyone! Sent from my BlackBerry Tour
Boston, United States opheliarisingSo true to form.

I've been running around this last week trying to complete everything I put on my 'Must-Do' list; and with only two days left, I'm feeling fairly confident that, yes, I will complete all tasks as assigned! However, I do have one (minor) concern at this point: I left getting my visa for entry into Indonesia 'til the last minute! Although, when I ...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States opheliarisingSo, heading off to South Africa to set up a collaboration for two and half weeks. I've spent the last 3 weeks or so constructing strains and other things necessary to carry out my experiments. I'm mentally and emotionally worn out by the incessant lab preparations, and not entirely optimistic that I'll get the experiment to work, but after being really negative over my prospects this past weekend, I'm in ...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States mchaoWell! Two ports in two days, that's going some and I couldn’t get off in either of them. Still Jacksonville next – whoopee – shopping and nails, etc.

We got to Boston and anchored right at the end of the Logan International Airport runway, a very busy airport. A barge brought the bunkers out, this took about 4 hours so we were then on our way to Hantsport, Novia Scotia. We arrived at the anchorage there about 10pm that same evening. We ...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States patsypinkFinally heading to Spain to start my month long trip! This will be an interesting trip as I don't know Spanish and I hear that english is not generally spoken. Let the Adventure begin!

The flight over from Boston went well other than a little hold up with the computers. This caused me to miss my connecting ...
Concord, Massachusetts, United States corrAfter we all finally got up, put some of our things away to help with our packing, and ate breakfast, we left to see the Constitution. It was almost 11:30 AM. Miriam drove our car to it for us so Mrs. Walker didn't have to figure it out. We went on the Constitution, which was used in the War of 1812 and nicknamed "Old Ironsides." We just went on the deck. I think you had to take a special ...
Peabody, Massachusetts, United States addicted2travelWe slept in for a long time this morning. We didn't have many plans. Nick's 3rd birthday party was in the afternoon so we laid out in the sun for a while, which I was completely bored with. The afternoon quickly slipped away with our relaxation broken up by breaks of eating. We also painted ceramic boxes in the shape of flip-flops that Sarah's Aunt Joyce had brought. Late afternoon came and we ...
