    ... Vodka and a bottle of Captain Morgan Rum and $138 later we are set. Gotta love America for alcohol prices.

    Back on the road and we arrive at Talladega Superspeedway in the rain. Not a good sign for a NASCAR race but it is still early in the week. We pulled up in the free camping for the night ready to get into the staging line early in the morning.

    ... was a threat of rain, so they had kept the covers on. When they eventually came off, they had to mark the pitch and prepare the infield.
    They had 24 people on this job and they were well organised and worked like clockwork.

    The game itself was a pitchers battle. In fact, at the end, the commentators were talking about this game having the most batters struck out since a game in 1914.
