      ... of peace medals in the relationship between the Indians and the U.S.

      We finished our trip to the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial by visiting the museum store to load up on the typically touristy pens, mugs and magnets. The kids have been collecting those flattened penny souvenir coins so they got one each of those as well.

      I was impressed with our trip to this national park - it was well worth the time (and the heat) to visit.

      Have done the first touristy bit on Route 66 and visited Ted Drewe's ice cream parlour in St Louis. It is apparently world famous and they call the ice cream concrete cos you can turn the tubs and cones upside down and the ice cream doesn't fall out - have the piccies to prove it. Now in a campsite right on Route 66 - very hot here - don't know the temperature but must be well over ...

      ... went to Creative Nails in Chestefield where I had the best pedicure with a foot massage followed by a manicure. Patti treated and made me feel pampered which I so desperately needed.
