We set off to pick up our hire car from Budget this time. We got a great deal booking through a UK dealer and just hoped when we got there we wouldn't end up with the crappiest car in the lot seeing we got a good price.

The lady at the rental place was certainly not the friendliest and I think if she could have given the most rubbish car …

We went inside the Capitol building which looked exactly like the one in Washington DC only smaller. We ...

Had a great cruise in a paddle steamer on the Mississippi River today.
Great commentary, learnt lots of history about the mighty river.
Late lunch back at Beale Street, where we were joined by Ed's brother Moray. He had driven down from about 4 hours away to catch up, was great to see him again on this trip.
We sat for a few hours and watched some more amazing live ...

... then pick us up and drop us at Rock N'Soul downtown when we were ready.
We were really impressed with the Hotel service and being from "out of town" found it reassuring to have someone guide us around Memphis.
Stax Museum and Rock N'Soul come highly recommended if you like music and want to learn about the history for it as it relates to the ...
