    Fort Lauderdale - Florida

... Nice!!!!! Florida cars also only have a number plate on the back?? We jumped back on the trolley and headed back to the hotel to get reorganised for the cruise by tipping the suitcases out and re packing. All great adventures get messy and the mundane things have to be done. We got off the trolley at the shopping centre next to the hotel and we checked out a US supermarket which was fun. I particularly liked the fact that I could order custom made subs in ...

... Th lettering in the buildings were almost identical. Almost all the Art Deco buildings are now cafes or restaurants downstairs and hotels and apartments upstairs. We had a bit of a look around the shops and then headed to the supermarket for some food as we had discovered at Miami was pretty pricey, especially in the part of town we were staying at, south beach. We decided we would cook a few meals so purchased a few supplies but were annoyed when ...

This drive was not as bad as I thought it might be, but I was also confident I could get it done in time since I drove to Montana and back by myself last year. It was just SO ...

... Angler’s Boutique Resort is a great little hotel on Washington Avenue, near the corner of 7th. The guy at the desk did the check in in my suite which has a separate lounge area and is the best room I’ve stayed in so far. They also print you off your own business cards with the hotel address and contact details which is a nice touch. Like most of the buildings in South Beach it dates from the art deco period and is just as lovely on the outside as it is ...

Nick's Dad suggested before we left that if we ever did hit a British pub, and it wasn't run by a Brit, that the they'd be so enamored that we're actually English we'd probably drink for a free, at least for a bit. The owner of this place was NOT British, and he didn't seem to give two ***** that we ...
