... then if we felt that it took time away from the chapter, we wouldn't continue. The powers to be were amenable to that suggestion, so if things go as expected we will have another hat to wear for the next year.

Today we did more of the same as yesterday, walking through the vendors and coaches. There was an ice cream social this afternoon. It isn't the same as the Passport America ice cream social, but it was OK. ...

Houston, we're not Kennedy Space Center

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 05, 2015

Our main reason for being in Houston was to visit the Johnson Space Center (JSC). We arrived at 10am and got a spot right by the entrance, because there were not many people there. I can't wait to breathe the Ecuadorian air once again, be it thin and hard to do so from the high elevation of Quito, or muggy and thick in the depths of the jungle at Mâché Chindul and the Bilsa Biological Station.

That's enough rambling for now, it's almost time to get on the ...

    Dante's Houston

A travel blog entry by driverj on Jan 05, 2014

I'm high above beautiful Arizona reflecting upon the previous day's events. I can see why some of my friends and family have chosen this state to live in - it is stunningly beautiful (he says in January and not in July when evidently it gets a touch warmer). So yesterday was an adventure all in itself. After finally landing in Houston (two hours late), I turned my phone to find a host of frantic text messages friends and family. More than one were from one of my teachers ...
