    Day 25

We were up at 6:30a.m. and left the hotel before 8:00a.m. We made it to Toledo by 5:00. We were in our driveway before 6:00p.m. after a trip to the grocery store. All animals are alive, well, and happy to see us! Now the fun part of cleaning out the car:(

Yes, we would leave tomorrow and do it all over again if we could! There were a few meltdowns along the way, but the laughter and experiences far exceeded the not-so-fun times.

We got packed and pulled away from the home compound at 8:35 a.m. We were only 35 minutes behind schedule!! We headed to Detroit to take the Ambassador Bridge to cross into Windsor, Ontario.

The stores are cavernous with displays of taxidermied wildlife that could be in any museum, a large aquarium with sporting fish, and an indoor display, as big as a basketball court, depicting a mountain with many ...

... with weeds IN the windows and up the brick walls). We walked past the shops still in business, a liquor store (where I had to go to get cash since the restaurant didn't take plastic), and 2 gun stores and a pawn shop. Oh and a strategically placed pile of excrement (debatable on the source... There were some odd folks out wandering as well.). The excitement was definitely up by the Tastee Freeze, as we approached, the ...

    Where Am I ?

I know I'm in Petersburg, Monroe County, Michigan. It is about 25 miles to Toledo, Ohio, 32 miles to Ann Arbor, MI and 63 miles to Detroit, Michigan, so we aren't far from several major cities, but it feels like we've been put down smack in the middle of acres upon acres of corn fields under ...
