Typical Homewood Suite selection. I was not disappointed with choice.

A respectable place to stay with kids however family food choices are limited. No rooms with a good view of the ocean-side community as the location is not within walking distance to the ocean. Location is a short drive to the Torrey Pines golf course. We arrived late evening and just after 9pm we asked the hotel staff to direct us to family-friendly dining and we were not provide with any decent options.
Hotel itself was they typical Homewood Suites with two bedroom options and a sofa-pullout, idea for a larger family with teen kids.
Lobby/dining area was nice as was the pool area. Biggest issue were the showers both contained stained/dirty shower curtains. We took showers late the first night so they didn't get changed until the next morning, however the housekeeping staff expressed plenty of regret about the issue and thoroughly cleaned the showers and the room.

After a late breakfast in the room we jumped into the Yukon and headed for San Diego city. Shopped for a while at Horton Plaza, ate Cinnabon, and then headed over to SeaWorld (sorry animal activists!) for a pleasant afternoon using our 7 day pass. Arrived about 2.30, and watched the Sea lion Show, Dolphin Show and finally the one world Orcas. For …

I decide to make the most of the quiet campground and do some exercise/circuit training for half an hour and as we finish up we have a few others setting up tents, but still far enough away that we all have our space. We shower and are feeling pretty relaxed and we have some sneaky alcohol beverages in our eski, crack a few, listen to some music and enjoy each others company the rest of the ...

The time we shared together would make for a terrific trip. Add to that the time we shared with our son Greg and his husband Todd roaming Florence and sharing time at the Villa and the very special Father's Day dinner before they departed was magical.

... in order to come to a very secure acceptance of what has been going on and to learn from my past, through self-reflection, so as to never repeat it again.

As strong as a person of faith, courage, or will-power can be; loneliness seeps in like a thief in the night and random things, memories, emails, even past conversations that have come to define you in that relationship come back to haunt you.

Being that I am a person of faith the first thing ...

My favorite story is the couple who met up on their ship's helipad one night for a bit of pleasure without noticing they were spotlighted from the bridge. This story actually has a happy ending; they're married today and have three kids (the first a result of the unforgettable night).

Less positive stories of passengers who've taken up with crewmembers (and vice versa) have ended with the crewmember ...
