This week has been cloaked with sadness, and we have felt acutely distant from home. My grandad passed away on Thursday. Being so far away, and unable to support and grieve with family is tough. Offering platitudes and condolences over phone or text seems empty, and I wish I could have been with everyone. Thinking lots of home, and of Grandad.
