      Saturday 28/3 - Today we caught the Metro south to Downtown and the Financial District so we could see the Freedom Tower as last time we saw it it was still under construction.       ... show Emma some of the beautiful Finger Lakes landscape, especially the hills of vineyards. Unfortunately, the route we took up the east side of Cayuga Lake was devoid of vineyards except for one small patch. We may have ended up seeing another medium patch toward the end, but I was very disappointed. I am not sure Emma shared my disappointment, but I think the Finger Lakes are not as stunning in cool, rainy fall weather with the autumn leaves past their peak.
